NBA schedule: Bulls host Knicks, Warriors take on Clippers

What better way to spend your Halloween than an awesome doubleheader of nationally-televised NBA action?

Coming off the delicious platter of games that fans were treated to Wednesday night, the NBA season treks on Thursday with a measly two-game slate. Luckily, the pair of nationally-televised contests are about as tasty as hoops lovers could ask for.

Starting in prime time on Wednesday, the Chicago Bulls will be hosting the New York Knicks as Derrick Rose makes his first meaningful appearance at the United Center in roughly 18 months. Coming off a disappointing loss to the Miami Heat on Tuesday, expect Tom Thibodeau's team to come out firing against New York at home.

In Chicago's 107-95 loss to the Heat in the season opener, Carlos Boozer actually delivered the performance of the night in a losing effort. Leading the Bulls with 31 points and seven rebounds, he played well but couldn't make up for Rose's struggles -- 12 points on 4-of-15 shooting, four assists, five turnovers -- as he works off the remaining rust from his ACL injury.

The second game of Thursday night takes us to the West Coast, where the Golden State Warriors visit the Los Angeles Clippers in Part 2 of a stacked doubleheader. For two teams that added major pieces during the offseason, from Andre Iguodala to Doc Rivers, this stands as the first big-time matchup in a season full of high expectations.

After losing to the Lakers, 116-103, by giving up 14 three-pointers in their season opener, expect the Clippers to aggressively close out on Golden State's many shooters Thursday night.
