Charlotte Bobcats head coach Steve Clifford returned to practice Sunday and will coach the team Monday when they host the Atlanta Hawks, reports Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer.
Bobcats coach Steve Clifford will return Monday
The rookie head coach is back with the team and will resume head coaching duties.

Clifford underwent a heart procedure to insert two stents into his heart after experiencing chest pains and checking himself into the hospital Thursday. The coach said he was lucky to have experienced a warning sign before ever having a heart attack.
Clifford was held overnight as a precaution and underwent further tests Friday. Patrick Ewing served as head coach in Clifford’s absence and the Bobcats lost to the Knicks, 101-91, dropping their record to an even 3-3.
Charlotte is 3-2 under new head coach Clifford, who replaced Mike Dunlap after one season with the franchise. This is Clifford's first head coaching position after beginning his career as an advanced scout with the New York Knicks during the 2000-2001 season. He previously held assistant coach positions with the Knicks, Houston Rockets, Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers.
