Andrei Kirilenko will not travel with the Brooklyn Nets during their three-game west coast road trip, reports Rod Boone of Newsday. Kirilenko is suffering from back spasms that have bothered him since preseason. The Nets visit the Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers before returning to Brooklyn on Nov. 18 to host the Portland Trail Blazers.

Kirilenko has played in four of the Nets' seven games during the regular season and just two games during preseason. The Nets are off to a disappointing 3-4 start despite adding Kirlenko, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry over the summer. They've played limited minutes together, dealing with early season injuries.

Kirilenko is averaging 5.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1 assist in 13.3 minutes per game. He opted out of a $10 million contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves and took a significant pay cut in order to play for Brooklyn, prompting owners to posit foul play.
