The Timberwolves wouldn't go away quietly, but a late offensive rebound and free throw by Nuggets point guard Andre Miller sealed the win for Denver, 117-113. Wilson Chandler led Denver with 19 points off the bench and Kenneth Faried, in the midst of trade speculation, recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Minnesota came into the game with the fifth best offense and defense in the league, according to Basketball Reference. The Timberwolves have scored at least 113 points in four of their last five games. Only eight players logged minutes for Minnesota but three of those guys -- Kevin Love, Kevin Martin and J.J. Barea -- scored more than 20 points.
Denver (4-4) will hit the road for a tough two-game road stretch against Houston and Oklahoma City. Minnesota (6-4) will fly back home to take on the Celtics on Saturday.
