As if blowing a double-digit lead to the Philadelphia 76ers wasn't bad enough, Washington Wizards point guard John Wall said following the game that he's dealing with back spasms. As Bullets Forever relays from CSN Washington's Chris Miller, the problem began during the third quarter of Friday's loss, the team's second of the season.
John Wall dealing with back spasms, likely to play Sunday vs. Heat
Adding to the Wizards’ early issues, their star player is battling back spasms.

While Wall also said he still expects to play Sunday against the Miami Heat, things didn't look much better Washington's star player on Saturday afternoon:
As John Wall left the arena, I asked if he was feeling any better. "Hell no!" He then reached for his back & grimaced. So, uh, yeah #wizards

After many people throughout the organization spent the summer talking playoffs and GM Ernie Grunfeld affirmed that short-term goal with the Marcin Gortat trade, the Wizards' first two games have been disheartening. At the end of the 109-102 loss to Philly, boos could be heard from the seats. Following the game, Washington coach Randy Wittman used profane language while expressing his frustration and owner Ted Leonsis wrote a blog post saying, "Our fans deserve better."
That’s where things sit for the Wizards just two games in. Luckily what happens in the first couple weeks can be overcome, but a healthy Wall stands as this team’s only chance of being competitive and fun to watch. Let’s hope these back spasms are just that and they go away with some rest.
