Brooklyn Nets forward Andray Blatche received a $15,000 fine from the league Saturday for making an obscene gesture during the team's 101-100 win over the Miami Heat on Friday night, NBA president of basketball operations Rod Thorn announced.
Andray Blatche fined $15,000 for obscene gesture
Blatche wasn’t in the game, but he’s still received a fine for his inappropriate gesture.

The incident occurred with 2:40 remaining in Brooklyn’s home opener. At the time, the Nets were up 96-84 following a three-pointer from guard Joe Johnson. Blatche wasn’t in the game, but he could be seen on television cameras making a gesture towards his groin from the bench.
During the remaining two-plus minutes, the Heat would go on a 16-5 run to seriously threaten the lead as Blatche remained on the bench.
This is the same gesture that got then-Bulls guard Marco Belinelli a fine from the league during the 2013 NBA Playoffs, so we already knew the NBA was looking to crack down on this kind of behavior.
