Kobe Bryant is revving up for his return to the Los Angeles Lakers after receiving full medical clearance to return to basketball activities. He practiced drills with the team on Sunday and participated in his first five-on-five scrimmage with his teammates Tuesday. Here's footage of his first on-court action, courtesy of Lakers Nation.

Kobe Bryant is getting ready to make a return after tearing his Achilles and participated in his first scrimmage since suffering the injury.

It’s hard to take anything too serious away from a practice session, but it’s a good sign for the Lakers and Bryant that he’s maneuvering around screens, taking jumpers and still firing off his (patent-pending) jump passes. It will take time for him to get back into rhythm with his team and testing out his limitations in live-game situations is an important first step for the franchise.
There's still no return date circled, but he told reporters he believes he could see himself playing before the end of November. The Lakers next play the Golden State Warriors at home on Friday followed by the Sacramento Kings on Sunday prior to a three-game road trip to close out the month.
