Stephen Curry injury: Warriors star returns from bone bruise in foot

The Warriors are hoping Curry can bounce back quickly from a left foot injury suffered on Wednesday night.

Jesse Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry left with a bone bruise in his left foot during the team's 106-93 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night, but returned before the game went final. The Warriors originally called it a right knee injury.

Playing a tight inbound pass from Andre Iguodala in the second half of Wednesday's game, Curry's knee incidentally collided with Timberwolves guard Ricky Rubio. He immediately began limping during the play:

The severity of the injury remains uncertain at this point, but it never appeared that Curry significantly damaged. Known as a somewhat fragile player, it’s reasonable to be concerned, though, particularly as the Warriors begin this season with championship aspirations.

Before leaving the game, Curry recorded five points and seven assists in 24 minutes. Off with his shot all night, he made just 2-of-8 attempts from the field.
