Lakers vs. Rockets score update: Hot three-point shooting gives L.A. 64-50 halftime lead

The Lakers’ hot three-point shooting has given them a 14-point halftime lead.

The Los Angeles Lakers started the game on fire from deep and lead the Houston Rockets 64-50 at halftime. Steve Blake sank three of his four three-point attempts to open the game, adding to the Lakers' 36 points on 66-percent shooting in the first quarter.

Dwight Howard has six points, 10 rebounds and missed all four of his free-throw attempts. The Rockets as a team have struggled at the free-throw line, making just 18 of their 27 attempts (66 percent).

James Harden has been attacking the rim, doing what he can to make up for slow start on offense by scoring a game-high 20 points.

Houston struggled to closeout on shooters, allowing the Lakers to shoot 83 percent from deep through the half. Steve Nash leads the Lakers with 10 points and three assists.
