The Pelicans beat the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, but the biggest story was the injury to Anthony Davis. The second-year star suffered a non-displaced fracture in his left hand in the first quarter and will likely miss a significant of time.

Davis played 10 minutes before leaving the game, scoring seven points and grabbing four rebounds. The big man went to the locker room and returned to the bench wearing a wrap on his left hand.

If Davis has to miss any significant amount of time, it would be a huge blow for a New Orleans team that is 7-8 in a deep Western Conference.

It didn’t help that the Sixers didn’t seem willing to play a lick of defense on the big man. Drummond, who is averaging 12 points, 11.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game this year, went 12-for-15 from the floor. This is what his shot chart looked like.
