Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger believes there is a "good chance" he will make his season debut Friday when Indiana hosts the Charlotte Bobcats, reports Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports. Lance Stephenson has filled in as the starting small forward next to Paul George and the team has excelled even without Granger's scoring presence. Indiana is holding team's to a league-best 96.1 points per 100 possessions, though their offensive efficiency is still in the middle of the pack at 13th overall, according to Basketball-Reference.
Granger played in five games during the Pacers 2012-2013 campaign, dealing with leg injuries for the past two seasons. He has averaged at least 20 points per game from the 2008-2009 season through his last healthy season, 2011-2012, and could fit in well as the Pacers’ scoring threat off the bench.
Indiana’s bench is averaging 24.1 points per game, the fifth-lowest mark in the NBA, according to Hoops Stats.
