Omer Asik switches agents, chooses Arn Tellem
After demanding a trade, the Rockets big man is looking to shake things up on his end once again with his latest move to find new representation.

Here's how bad the Rockets' experiment went and the surprise solution Houston found in the process. Houston Rockets center Omer Asik has fired his agent Andy Miller and hired Arn Tellem of Wasserman Media Group, according to CBSSports.com NBA insider Ken Berger.
The big man now has a 10-day waiting period to go through before Tellem can represent him in official capacity, and from the looks of things, that time can’t pass quickly enough since Asik is frustrated with his situation in Houston.
The move is consistent with reports that Asik is looking for a new team and the fact that he's already approached Rockets general manager Daryl Morey to seek a trade. He's been disgruntled with the way he's been used in Houston since the arrival of Dwight Howard and is looking for a better situation.
SB Nation’s own Drew Garrison highlighted that Asik and Howard never worked on the floor together because the two centers possess similar skill sets. They’re both defensive-minded bigs who have limitations on the offensive end outside of the restricted area.
When they play with one another, the offense suffers by a substantial margin. The Rockets go from posting an offensive rating of 107.8 as a team to a pedestrian 87.3 mark when they’re featured in the lineup together.
That shows that Morey would be wise to move quickly on Asik’s request, and for his part in switching agents, it appears Asik is looking to facilitate that change through his new representation.
