The Golden State Warriors have called up center Hilton Armstrong from their D-league affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports. The Warriors made the move to add Armstrong, a former first-round pick, to their thin frontcourt depth while Festus Ezeli continues to miss time after undergoing knee surgery this summer and Jermaine O'Neal deals with a sprained wrist.

Armstrong last played in the NBA during the 2010-2011 season, spending six games with the Atlanta Hawks before going overseas to play in both France and Greece. He returned to the states and joined the Santa Cruz Warriors during the 2013 season.

The 6'11 center has career averages of 3.1 points and 2.6 rebounds per game since being drafted out of the University of Connecticut with the 12th-overall pick of the 2006 NBA Draft by the New Orleans Hornets. The Warriors will be the sixth NBA team he will be play for after being traded multiple times throughout his career.
Armstrong has averaged 15.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and three blocks per game in six games with the Santa Cruz Warriors.
