The New York Knicks are sifting through their few options to stay competitive this season, and ESPN's Marc Stein reports they are discussing a deal with the Toronto Raptors that involves point guard Kyle Lowry heading to New York. As is, Stein reports that New York would send point guard Raymond Felton and one other player to Toronto in the deal.

The New York Knicks could end up with an upgrade at point guard while the Toronto Raptors aim to gain for financial flexibility.

Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski confirmed the report, adding that the Knicks were previously interested in Denver Nuggets veteran point guard Andre Miller.

Felton has been dealing with a hamstring issue all season. His contract pays out $3.6 million this year and runs through a player option season for 2015-16. He has averaged 10.3 points and 5.2 assists per game in 2013-14.
Lowry, who is on an expiring deal paying out $6.2 million, would be an upgrade for the Knicks, especially on the defensive end. He is averaging career highs of 14.7 points and 6.7 assists per game but is expendable to the Raptors, who recently acquired point guard Greivis Vasquez in the deal that sent Rudy Gay to Sacramento.
