Miami Heat star LeBron James earned 609,336 votes to lead all players in the first release of NBA All-Star voting results, while Kevin Durant led the Western Conference with 607,407 tallies.

LeBron James led all vote-getters in the early returns for NBA All-Star balloting. Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant were on his heels.

If it were today, the Eastern Conference starting lineup in the All-Star game would include a frontcourt of James, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony, while Dwyane Wade and Kyrie Irving would start in the backcourt. Durant would be joined in the Western Conference starting lineup by Dwight Howard and Blake Griffin in the frontcourt and the backcourt duo of Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul.

Among the more questionable vote-getters were Rajon Rondo, who hasn't appeared in a game this season because of a torn ACL, and Steve Nash, the Lakers guard who averaged 6.7 points and 4.8 assists in just three games played. Additionally, Bryant was third in total votes despite having been back from his torn Achilles for just two games.
The Brooklyn Nets placed four players in the early results despite a 7-14 start and, arguably, only center Brook Lopez putting up All-Star level production.
Meanwhile, the Portland Trail Blazers lead the Western Conference but only saw forward LaMarcus Aldridge come in eighth place in the conference’s frontcourt vote-getters and point guard Damian Lillard rank 10th among the backcourt players.
