Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond is donating his game jersey to the school a year after a fatal shooting took place there.

Pistons big man Andre Drummond tweeted Sunday that he'll donate the jersey he wears against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night to Sandy Hook Elementary, a year after 26 victims were shot to death on Dec. 14, 2012 at the Connecticut school.
The event hit close to Drummond’s heart. Though he’s from New York, the big man went to high school in Connecticut and didn’t go far for college. He played at UConn before entering the NBA.
Drummond sent out several tweets with a #CtTogetherWeStand hashtag, and he also wrote the 26 names of victims on his shoes in remembrance.
