Spurs vs. Warriors recap: Tiago Splitter puts San Antonio over top in 104-102 victory

Tiago Splitter sealed the victory with a tip-in

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The San Antonio Spurs were missing their big three but still managed to defeat the Golden State Warriors in a 104-102 victory that came down to the wire. Stephen Curry tied the game at 102 with a three-point shot off of an offensive rebound, but Tiago Splitter tipped-in a missed field goal with just over two seconds left to seal the victory for San Antonio. Here's a GIF of the game-winner:

The Warriors had the final possession but San Antonio trapped Curry and his desperation heave was nowhere near the basket:

Gregg Popovich elected to sit Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili form the team's fifth game in six nights (and second game in a back-to-back) while Tony Parker missed the game because of a shin contusion. Marco Belinelli stepped up with a huge game off the bench. He scored a team-high 28 points on 10-of-15 shooting.

David Lee and Curry combined for 21 of the Warriors' 28 points in the fourth quarter, but fell short of completing the comeback. Curry finished the night with a double-double, scoring 30 and dishing 15 assists. Lee finished with a game-high 32 points along with 13 rebounds. Andrew Bogut had a huge game cleaning the glass, grabbing a game-high 18 rebounds.
