Los Angeles Clippers forward Matt Barnes has been fined $25,000 for failing to leave the court in a timely manner after being ejected on Sunday, the league announced on Monday.

The incident occurred in the third quarter of Clippers' game against the Minnesota Timberwolves:

Barnes was ejected after he hit Wolves forward Kevin Love with a hard foul on a drive to the basket. When informed that he'd received a flagrant-2 foul, Barnes yelled at the referees, and his teammates had to hold him back. He then walked to the locker room slowly, clearly upset with the situation.

After the game on Sunday, Clippers head coach Doc Rivers told reporters that he didn't think the foul was worthy of a flagrant-2. On Monday, the NBA downgraded the foul from a flagrant-2 to a flagrant-1. Ironically, this means that Barnes was fined $25,000 for complaining about an ejection the league admitted should never have happened.
