Suns vs. Warriors results: Golden State races past Phoenix, 115-86

The Suns figured to be a a formidable foe for Golden State. Phoenix had won eight of its last nine games, despite being pegged by many preseason projectionists as a team bound for the lottery, but it shot just 36 percent in the loss. The Warriors never eased off the gas pedal once they got a lead.

Nobody on the Suns scored more than 11 points and the team, as a whole, connected on just 4-of-23 (17.4 percent) from behind the arc.

Phoenix actually played Golden State close in the first quarter, despite shooting just 38 percent from the field, but the second quarter was a different story. The Warriors shot 52 percent in the second quarter, leading to 31 points. The Suns, on the other hand, scored just 18 points on 22 shots.

In the first two quarters, the Suns shot just 35 percent from the field. The Warriors shot over 54 percent from the floor, despite connecting on just two of its 11 three-point shots. Curry nearly registered a triple-double in the first half, finishing the first 24 minutes with 14 points, nine boards and nine assists, as the Warriors went into halftime with a 19-point lead.

The third quarter was much of the same, with Phoenix again shooting the ball poorly (32 percent) from the field. Curry recorded his triple-double just minutes into the second half and the Warriors extended their lead to 21-points heading into the final quarter. The fourth quarter was one filled with reserve players as Golden State coasted to its fourth win in a row.
