Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal suffered a bone bruise in Friday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, ESPN's Jeff Goodman reports. Following an MRI on Saturday morning, it appears the second-year guard avoided the worst possible fates after an ugly scene Friday.
Bradley Beal injury: Wizards guard suffers bone bruise, could play Saturday, per report
The Wizards’ shooting guard appears to have avoided a major injury.

Goodman even says Beal could play Saturday night against the Detroit Pistons, less than 24 hours after seemingly going down with a serious injury.
The Wizards’ guard left the game against Minnesota after banging knees with Luc Richard Mbah a Moute. He had to be carried off the court, but according to the Washington Post, X-rays after the game were negative and he walked out of the arena under his own power.
Beal missed nine games earlier in the season with a stress injury to his right fibula, during which the Wizards went 4-5. In his rookie season, he only played 56 games before being shut down for the season with a stress injury in his -- you guessed it -- right fibula. Beal said at the time the injury was in a different part of his fibula, but this is now three leg injuries in less than a year of half of NBA action for the 20-year-old.
When Beal was healthy this year, he was averaging 19.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game and shooting 45.9 percent from three-point range.
