Andrei Kirilenko injury: Nets forward has no timetable for return

Kirilenko explained that he’d rather not give a timetable because he has failed to meet them in the past:

“I’m afraid of giving a timetable, because in the previous occasions, we’ve given a timetable, but it doesn’t work.”

Kirilenko has had numerous setbacks as he attempts to get over his bout of back spasms. The 32-year-old has undergone two epidurals, but they haven’t hastened his return to the lineup. More time is still needed before he can return to full contact practice.

Kirilenko has played in just four games this season, averaging 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 13.3 minutes per game. The acquisition of Kirilenko this offseason at the mini mid-level exception was widely viewed as an absolute steal, but much like almost everything else Nets related, things just haven’t worked out thus far.
