Michael Carter-Williams and Victor Oladipo make history with triple-doubles

Carter-Williams finished with a ridiculous line of 27 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Oladipo did more than just keep pace with an astonishing 26 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Not bad for a draft class that many called one of the weakest in recent memory.

Carter-Williams’ NBA career is already off to a roaring start. He’s averaging 17.7 points, 7.1 assists and 5.8 rebounds per game. Did I mention he’s the NBA’s leader in steals per game at 3.1 as well? He’s already notched six games with double-figure assists, scored over 20 points six times and was one steal away from landing a triple-double in his first game in the NBA. Suffice to say, it’s clear why he was named the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month for November.

Oladipo hasn’t been as dominant as Carter-Williams, but his level of play has been raised since he became a full-time starter eight games ago. He’s scored at least 15 points in six of his first starts, leading up to his career night Tuesday.
