Houston Rockets center Omer Asik will miss at least one week with a bruised thigh, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle. It's the latest setback for Asik in what's been a frustrating season for the big man.
Omer Asik to miss 1 week with bruised thigh
Houston’s big man will be out at least one week.

Seeing reduced minutes this season with Dwight Howard taking over as Houston's starting center, Asik has struggled to find a role. He recently demanded a trade from the organization, but the Rockets reportedly have a high asking price that other teams may struggle to meet in the weeks ahead.
For now, the 27-year-old will presumably just focus on getting healthy. After playing just 28 minutes during the Rockets' past two games, Asik sat out Wednesday night and likely won't be back until the team visits the Portland Trail Blazers next Thursday.
Asik has averaged 4.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 0.4 blocks in 18.3 minutes per game over 17 contests this season.
