During a press conference to discuss his recovery from a torn meniscus, Derrick Rose said he could injure himself 10 more times. No matter, he's not going to back down in trying to return to the sport he loves. Like Rose is on the court, the Chicago Bulls point guard is and taking a relentless approach to recovery.
Derrick Rose injury: Bulls guard doesn’t rule out return this year
In a press conference to talk about his torn meniscus, Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose didn’t want to call it a season.
Rose isn’t willing to rule himself out of returning this season if the Bulls make it to the playoffs.
Derrick Rose doesn't rule out returning for the playoffs "if I'm healthy and the situation is right."

— Ethan J. Skolnick (@EthanJSkolnick) December 5, 2013 Rose was ruled out for the season by the Bulls after undergoing surgery to reattach a torn meniscus in his right knee. He said the most painful part was that the injury came after he began to find a rhythm this season, the first time he’s felt good about his play since an ACL tear took the 2012-13 season from him.
The Bulls guard added he’s planned ahead. He wants to get into yoga to relax the body and clear the mind. He also wants to take a few more swims to help him stay loose.
Asked if the Bulls should move on from Rose, the point guard paused to gather his thoughts.
What about people who say Bulls should move on without him? Derrick Rose: "You can be a fool if you want to."
— Ethan J. Skolnick (@EthanJSkolnick) December 5, 2013 He doesn’t want to be counted out. Whether that’s the reality of this season remains to be seen.
