Rodney Stuckey injury: Pistons guard out with sore knee

Rodney Stuckey left the Pistons’ game against the Bulls early because of knee soreness.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Rodney Stuckey left the Detroit Pistons' game against the Chicago Bulls Friday night during the second quarter because of knee soreness, reports Vincent Goodwill of the Detroit News. Stuckey has been dealing with knee tendonitis, though he hasn't missed any time due to the injury.

No details on the injury have been announced by the team, but Stuckey was ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Stuckey has had a solid start to the 2013-14 season despite suffering a broken thumb before the season started. After a year where he averaged his lowest points per game and field goal percentage since his rookie season, he has bounced back, putting up career numbers and leading the Pistons in scoring. He is currently shooting 47 percent overall, the highest mark of his career, along with 16.2 points per game.

Detroit started the season loaded with depth in their backcourt, but Will Bynum is out indefinitely with a strained hip and Chauncey Billups is missing time as he deals with his own knee tendonitis troubles.
