New York Knicks center and former Defensive Player of the Year Tyson Chandler is expected to return within 10 days, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post. Chandler broke his leg on Nov. 5 against the Bobcats and was expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
Tyson Chandler injury: Knicks big man expected back ‘within 10 days,’ per report
Chandler is expected back soon after breaking his leg over a month ago.

Chandler is the anchor of New York’s defense. Its defense is seven points worse when Chandler is on the sidelines, per Basketball-Reference, and the team is 4-10 in his absence.
Knicks coach Mike Woodson wouldn't put a timetable for Chandler's return but seems optimistic of his return:
Coach Woodson on @tysonchandler: "Hopefully his timetable won't be much longer." #Knicks
— NBA New York Knicks (@nyknicks) December 8, 2013 Woodson said Tyson Chandler's been running on the low-gravity treadmill and doing some shooting. But not sure on his timetable.
— Chris Herring (@HerringWSJ) December 8, 2013 The Knicks, who came into this season with championship aspirations, have faltered to a 5-13 start and currently sit at the bottom of the league’s worst division. They have, however, won their last two games and are only 2.5 games back of first place in the Atlantic Division.
In four games, Chandler is averaging seven points, nine rebounds and 2.5 blocks. He’s shooting 60 percent from the field and over 70 percent from the free-throw line. Getting him back would go a long way in helping New York gain some ground in the division.
