Zaza Pachulia injury: Bucks center has broken foot, out at least 4 weeks

The Milwaukee Bucks will reexamine center Zaza Pachulia in four weeks after diagnosing him with a broken foot.

Milwaukee Bucks center Zaza Pachulia will miss at least four weeks after suffering a broken right foot, according to The Racine Journal Times' Gery Woelfel. The news came down Monday after Pachulia had already missed two games for what was initially called a foot sprain.

The team will reexamine Pachulia in four weeks, but in the meantime it will attempt to fill a hole in the middle.

The Bucks are also without center Larry Sanders, who is on the mend from a broken thumb suffered in a bar fight. Sanders had a pin removed from his thumb, coach Larry Drew told reporters on Monday, but the timeline for his return is still up in the air. For the time being, it's likely second-year big man John Henson and forward Ekpe Udoh, who is coming off his own injury, will be forced to carry more upon their shoulders.

Pachulia was averaging 6.9 points and 6.5 rebounds this season, and his injury just adds to the long list of problems in Milwaukee. In addition to the Bucks' depleted center position, small forward Caron Butler is out with a knee injury and guard Gary Neal is hampered by plantar fasciitis.
