Barnes, who was reacting to a screen from Stiemsma, received a flagrant-2 foul. The incident occurred with 8:26 remaining in the second quarter of the Clippers’ 96-90 victory over the Timberwolves on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at the Target Center.
He will serve his suspension on Friday night against the Toronto Raptors. It is the second time this season Barnes has been suspended. An incident during the offseason caused him to be suspended for the first game of the year. He pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor for resisting, delaying or obstructing a police officer.
Caron Butler and Grant Hill should see an increase in minutes against Toronto.
