Heat vs. Pacers final score: Hot shooting leads Indiana to 102-89 win

The Pacers shot 57 percent in a win over the Miami Heat Friday.

Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

David West scored 30 points with seven rebounds and five assists and the Indiana Pacers (28-19) shot 56 percent from the field and 41 percent from three-point range in a 102-89 win over the Miami Heat (29-14) Friday.

LeBron James led the Heat with 28 points, six rebounds and three assists. Dwyane Wade had 17 points and Chris Bosh scored 13 points. Shane Battier scored 11.

Indiana led by two points after one quarter, but pushed its lead into double figures with strong performances in the second and third quarters. Four other Pacers joined West in double figures. Paul George scored 15 points, Lance Stephenson scored 15 points, George Hill had 12 points and Tyler Hansbrough scored 11 points off the bench.

The loss allows the New York Knicks to move within a game of Miami in the standings. The Knicks are playing the Milwaukee Bucks tonight. If they are able to catch Miami in the standings, Mike Woodson and not Erik Spoelstra will coach the Eastern Conference in the All-Star game.
