NBA Scores: Jose Calderon’s double-double leads Pistons, Nuggets win ninth straight

The Detroit Pistons pulled away in the closing moments against the Milwaukee Bucks, while the Denver Nuggets pushed their winning streak to nine.

Pistons, 105, Bucks, 100

Jose Calderon had 23 points and 10 assists in a game that was tied with just ten seconds left. Charlie Villanueva drained a three to put Detroit ahead, then Brandon Jennings didn't connect on a desperation heave - watch it, its fun - from roughly 35 feet. Jennings led all scorers with 26 points, but needed 27 shots to do it. The Pistons have now won two of four since the trade that sent away Tayshaun Prince and brought in Calderon.

Nuggets, 111, Cavaliers, 103

Denver won its ninth straight, the longest active winning streak in the league. It was the product of a balanced effort. Of the nine players the Nuggets put in the game, eight scored in double digits, while nobody hit 20 points. Alonzo Gee had the best line of the night for the Cavs, hitting all eight of his field goal attempts and finishing with 20 points.

76ers, 87, Bobcats, 76

Lavoy Allen ripped 22 boards in a game Philadelphia easily could have lost. They shot 30 percent from the floor and went 2-of-16 from three while turning the ball over 20 times, but thanks to a ridiculous 60-40 advantage on the glass - and a 2-of-16 night from behind the arc for the Bobcats as well - the Sixers got the win.

Mavericks, 116, Warriors, 91

Nothing is going right for Golden State, who have now lost four in a row. The Mavs scored 30 points in three of four quarters, jumping out to a 30-16 advantage in the first. Shawn Marion hit his season high with 26.

Kings, 120, Jazz, 109

Isaiah Thomas had 20 points and Marcus Thornton had 24 as Sacramento won on "Here We Buy" night, a campaign to keep the Kings in Sacramento.
