It doesn't seem as if the New York Knicks are interested in a deal that would bring in Jared Dudley, although they did listen to a proposed trade from the Phoenix Suns, per Ian Begley of ESPN New York.
Knicks trade rumors: Iman Shumpert on block, Jared Dudley deal ‘unlikely’
A reported trade that would involve the Knicks giving up Iman Shumpert for Jared Dudley isn’t likely to happen, although New York did listen to the proposed deal and is interested in getting an additional shooter.

The deal would involve the Knicks giving up second-year guard Iman Shumpert for Dudley. Although New York is trying to make moves before the trade deadline to improve a team currently in first place in the Atlantic Division, Begley reports that there is dissension in the organization about whether they should deal Shumpert.
Not making this deal seems like the right call for the Knicks. Shumpert hasn’t been perfect since returning from an ACL injury suffered in last year’s playoffs, but he’s an outstanding defender and the team’s only player under the age of 27. Dudley can guard on the perimeter and is a significantly better shooter than Shumpert - he shoots 40 percent from beyond the arc for his career, including a season at 46 percent in 2009-10, while Shumpert shot just 30 percent from three in his rookie season - but there’s tons of upside for Shumpert, and he’s easily the best player on New York at defending opposing ballhandlers.
Begley also reports that the Knicks are interested in J.J. Redick. Between Dudley and Redick, it appears New York is interested in dealing for a three-point specialist - not a surprise, considering their continued preference for taking tons of shots from long range. With Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire, the floor has been really well-spaced and there have been tons of looks from deep. They have guys capable of hitting them, but one more wouldn't hurt.
