The Utah Jazz took care of business from the opening tip at home on Tuesday night as they defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder, 109-94, at Energy Solutions Arena Tuesday night.

OKC couldn’t buy a basket in the fourth quarter, and the Jazz were obliged to take full advantage and snap their opponent’s four-game win streak.

The Jazz (29-24) won the first three quarters by a combined seven points before using the fourth quarter to put the Thunder away with a 23-15 effort. Oklahoma City (39-13) mustered a comeback attempt, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the dismal start to the final quarter.
Paul Millsap notched a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds while adding six assists. Al Jefferson went to work to lead the Jazz with a team-high 23 points and seven rebounds.
Kevin Durant was strong once again for the Thunder, scoring 33 points on 11-of-16 shooting, including 3-of-4 from the three-point line.
The game was sloppy on both ends of the floor, and turnovers plagued both teams. Oklahoma City notched 20 giveaways while Utah had 17. Utah won the game on the glass after out-rebounding its opponent by a margin of 38-26, 16 of which came on the offensive end.
The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for OKC, while the Jazz managed to get back on track with the win. Utah led by as many as 21 points in the fourth, but a late run from the Thunder saw them make a serious attempt to steal one on the road.
