New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony will play in the 2013 All-Star Game in Houston on Sunday despite a bruised right biceps muscle, according to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News.

Knicks star Carmelo Anthony will play through his injured biceps in the All-Star Game on Sunday.

Anthony suffered the injury in the Knicks' loss to the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday. There were some murmurs that Anthony would sit out the All-Star Game but, as Kurt Helin of ProBasketballTalk notes, he would then have to sit out the first Knicks game after the break.
The NBA does not allow players to play in games leading up to the break only to excuse themselves from the All-Star Game itself unless of course there’s a really bad injury.
Because of this, Anthony will indeed suit up and start for the Eastern Conference on Sunday. How much action he sees will likely be up to him, so perhaps he will just want to play at the beginning of each half. Or maybe he will want to play more. We will just have to wait and see.
