The Los Angeles Lakers have always maintained that they have no interest in trading Dwight Howard. But as the season has slipped away and the questions continue to arise about Howard's future in Los Angeles, the trade winds keep getting stronger and stronger.
Dwight Howard trade rumors spark indifference from Kobe Bryant
Lakers star Kobe Bryant does not seem to care whether or not Dwight Howard gets traded before the deadline.

And what does Kobe Bryant think about all this? Naturally, very little, if you go by what he recently said to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski:
“I don’t know what they’re going to do,” he said Sunday. “At this point, it doesn’t matter.”
The Kobe/Dwight relationship has gotten pretty icy in recent weeks, and not even the normally jovial atmosphere at All-Star Weekend could fix things. There was little to no bonding between the two, and Wojnarowski says that Bryant is not even trying to sell Howard on re-signing in Los Angeles. The organization itself supposedly has not even come to Howard to ask him if he plans on re-signing in July, despite the fact that the trade deadline is Thursday.
Most people still think Howard will re-sign with the Lakers if he’s not dealt, but there are no guarantees. The big man will have several other options out there, although no other team can offer the years and money that Los Angeles can. But if his relationship with Bryant is fractured beyond repair and he envisions future success elsewhere, perhaps there will be another change in scenery for the center.
And Kobe Bryant does not seem to care.
