The Boston Celtics received an offer for Paul Pierce from the Brooklyn Nets, but they want a more substantial package in return, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. Brooklyn has offered Boston a deal including forward Kris Humphries, second-year guard MarShon Brooks and a first-round pick, sources told Wojnarowski.
NBA trade rumors: Nets after Celtics’ Paul Pierce, according to report
The New Jersey Nets are offering a package including Kris Humphries and MarShon Brooks to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Paul Pierce.

"The Celtics still highly value Pierce and it wouldn't make sense to trade him for that kind of a package if they're keeping Kevin Garnett," one league source told Yahoo!.
Boston is reportedly interested in Mirza Teletovic and would like another first-round pick coming its way, but the Nets don't want to pay that high of a price.
It makes sense that the Celtics aren't shopping Pierce for little considering the other rumors surrounding them hints that they're wanting to make a run at some guard help for a playoff push. Gerald Henderson's name popped up in trade rumors involving Boston, according to CBS Sports' Ken Berger.
Celtics general manager Danny Ainge reportedly offered Pierce to Brooklyn for a few contracts and a lightly-protected pick last season, but the Nets decided to take a similar deal in return for a younger Gerald Wallace, according to Nets Daily.
Wojnarowski also reports that Boston has interest in Nets guard C.J. Watson in a separate deal.
