NBA schedule: Warriors hope to end skid against Spurs, Rockets visit Nets

The trade deadline has come and gone, so it’s time to celebrate with 12 NBA games scheduled Friday night. Old faces, different places.

Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

The NBA trade deadline passed Thursday at 3 p.m. eastern and the second half of the NBA season is now in full swing after only two games last night on TNT. Friday, there’s a packed schedule with 12 games total hitting the air waves to kick off the weekend.

Houston Rockets at Brooklyn Nets

James Harden will hit the court for the first time since putting up a career high 46 points while going 14 for 19 from the field against the Oklahoma City Thunder Wednesday night. The Houston Rockets, and freshly-acquired rookie Thomas Robinson, head out to Brooklyn to take on the Nets. The Rockets are ecstatic to add the fifth overall pick of the 2012 NBA draft into their fold in a low-risk, high-reward trade with the Kings. The Nets failed to make any moves at the trade deadline, but even worse, P.J. Carlesimo revealed that Deron Williams won't be at 100 percent this season with wrist and ankle injuries. The Nets have started the second half of their season 2-0, both games going down to the wire against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Game time: 7:30 p.m. EST

San Antonio Spurs at Golden State Warriors

The San Antonio Spurs head to the Bay Area as they visit the Golden State Warriors in a battle of Western Conference playoff seeds. The Spurs are on the second half of a back-to-back, only a day removed from putting on a clinic against the third seeded Los Angeles Clippers. The Spurs were unable to find a deal to send DeJuan Blair out, and the Warriors sent out Charles Jenkins and Jeremy Tyler in deals to dump salary. The Warriors have gone 2-6 in the month of February.

Game time: 10:30 p.m. EST
