Bulls vs. Thunder final score: Oklahoma City wins going away, 102-72

About the only positive for Chicago Bulls fans on Sunday night was seeing injured superstar Derrick Rose dunking in pre-game warmups before the team's contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Because when the game actually started, the Thunder flexed their might and destroyed the Bulls, 102-72, at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Oklahoma City dominated pretty much from the opening tip, despite Kevin Durant getting off to a slow start and quite a few sloppy turnovers. The Thunder defense helped make up for some of the offensive struggles, holding the Bulls to 20.0-percent shooting in the first quarter and 20.8 percent in the first half. Chicago managed to get that percentage up somewhat by the end of the game, but only to a meager 29.1 percent, a season-low for any NBA team this season.

Durant finished the game with 19 points on just 6-of-19 shooting, but he had a huge impact in other areas, pulling down 16 rebounds and dishing out six assists. Russell Westbrook led the Thunder with 23 points on 10-of-17 shooting, throwing down several thunderous dunks in the process. Serge Ibaka added a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Nate Robinson and Luol Deng both had 13 points for the Bulls, but Robinson went just 2-of-14 from the field and 1-of-8 from three. Nobody else reached double figures in the ugly loss. And to top it all off, key reserve Taj Gibson left the game late with a sprained knee injury after going 2-of-11 on the night.
