Woodson told reporters that while Wallace will likely return from a foot injury that’s sidelined him since mid-December, he understands he won’t ever be fully healthy. Though it was once feared that the big man would be out for the remainder of the season and possibly his career, he has promised to come back and finish out the season.

The 38-year-old is averaging 7.2 points and 4.2 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per game through 20 games in 2012-13. New York is in the midst of a resurgence this season with a 31-15 record in Woddson’s first full season at the helm. New York is eighth in points per game (101.0) and seventh in the NBA in points allowed per game (95.7)
