Warriors vs. Rockets final score: 3-point barrage too much for GSW, 140-109

The Rockets didn’t waste any time pouring in the three-pointers, as they used a 7-of-10 first-quarter performance from the arc to pull away from Golden State for good.

The Houston Rockets used a three-point barrage to separate themselves early and cruise to a 140-109 win against the Golden State Warriors at Toyota Center on Tuesday night.

The Rockets tied an NBA record by making 23 shots from beyond the arc, and used them to win convincingly. If three-pointers started the rout for the Houston (27-23), outstanding defense in the fourth quarter sealed the win as they held the Warriors (30-18) to just 23 points.

Jeremy Lin led the way for Houston, pouring in a game-high 28 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the field, including 5-of-8 from the three-point line.

The Warriors had a strong performance on the offensive end, shooting 47.7 percent from the field, but shot just 3-of-15 from the arc.

Jarrett Jack led the way for Golden State with 20 points off the bench on 7-of-14 from the field. Reigning Western Conference Player of the Week David Lee chipped in with 18 points and seven rebounds.

Eight Houston players scored in double figures, and nine players made at least one three-pointer in the contest.
