The Denver Nuggets made a call to let their interest be known, but big man Kevin Garnett told the Boston Celtics that he has no interest in waiving his no-trade clause to head to Colorado, Mark Kiszla of the Denver Post reports.

The Celtics may still deal Kevin Garnett, but he’s reportedly made it known that he won’t waive his no-trade clause for the Nuggets.

While the Nuggets could badly use an imposing post presence with championship experience like Garnett, there’s little reason for Denver to aggressively pursue him unless he gives some indication that he might accept the deal. At this point, he’s made it clear that the Nuggets aren’t an option, though they’re still monitoring the situation.
Recently, Celtics coach Doc Rivers tried to play down the trade talk, but Kiszla says, "There's no doubt Boston is listening to trade inquiries from around the NBA."
The Nuggets are one of the teams that's called to make inquiries, but talks never progressed once Garnett's representatives made it clear that he would wield his no-trade clause to avoid Denver. The Los Angeles Clippers are another team that's reportedly inquired on KG, but it's unclear how far those talks have progressed.
As CelticsBlog notes, Garnett said in 2007 that he wouldn't stay in Boston if traded there by the Minnesota Timberwolves. We all know how that's played out, though there are obviously differences in the respective situations.
