Spurs vs. Timberwolves final score: Danny Green’s 28 points lead San Antonio to 104-94 win

Danny Green had a big night for the Spurs as they beat the Timberwolves Wednesday. It was the Spurs’ 11th straight win.

The Minnesota Timberwolves (18-28) took a brief lead early in the fourth quarter, but the San Antonio Spurs (39-11) stormed back to win, 104-94. It was San Antonio's 11th straight win.

Minnesota had trouble containing San Antonio's backcourt. Tony Parker scored 31 points with eight assists and five rebounds. Danny Green scored 28 points, thanks largely to his efforts behind the three-point line. Green shot 8 for 12 from three in the game.

Kawhi Leonard had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Tiago Splitter had 12 points for the Spurs, who played without Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili.

The Timberwolves trailed heading into the fourth, but took a two-point lead with 7:45 left before the Spurs used an 8-0 run to pull away. Nikola Pekovic had 21 points and 10 rebounds for Minnesota. Derrick Williams and J.J. Barea each scored 15 points.

The Spurs held Minnesota to 40 percent shooting for the game.
