The Minnesota Timberwolves have begun looking into takers for point guard Luke Ridnour, according to Chris Sheridan of SheridanHoops.com. While Sheridan has no firm grasp on what deals could be made for Ridnour, the whispers point to his status as the odd-man out in a heavy point guard rotation in Minnesota.
NBA trade rumors 2013: Luke Ridnour reportedly being shopped by Timberwolves
The Minnesota Timberwolves are shopping point guard Luke Ridnour, according to a report.

Fellow point guard Ricky Rubio's performances since returning from a torn ACL have been shaky, but with two games in a row with 11 or more assists -- they were also the only two double-digit assist games through 21 outings -- it makes sense that the team appears comfortable moving Ridnour.
Head coach Rick Adelman has often run backcourts with two point guards. Rubio and Ridnour have been starting together, and the Timberwolves have also been divvying out heavy minutes to undersize point guard J.J. Barea and oversized point guard Alexey Shved off the bench.
Sheridan reports the Timberwolves were in talks to swap Ridnour for Utah Jazz shooting guard Alec Burks, but those talks have gone nowhere. The Jazz are in need of a point guard after injuries hit Mo Williams and Earl Watson, and Minnesota could use a wing after injuries have hit the likes of Chase Budinger and Brandon Roy this year.
Ridnour, who in his 10th NBA season is averaging 11.8 points and 3.9 assists per game.
