How Orlando forgets about Dwight Howard on the cheap
The Orlando Magic fans don’t have much to cheer for, but they can certainly express some bitterness toward former center Dwight Howard without spending much money.
Los Angeles Laker and former Orlando star Dwight Howard visits the Amway Center on Tuesday in the big man's highly-publicized return to the home of the Magic. He's not expected to be received too well after that whole debacle before being traded to the Lakers, colloquially known last year as the Dwightmare.
Further leading to distaste for the one-time hero whose relationship with the city has soured is the situation in Orlando, where a replacement for the face of the franchise is still lacking.
The Magic are really grasping for a brighter future. Glen Davis is hurt, J.J. Redick was traded away and only Jameer Nelson remains with a rebuilding roster. So instead of Magic fans moving on by buying a jersey of Tobias Harris and the like, they are doing the only environmentally friendly and economical thing:
Showing their support with duct-taped Dwight Howard gear.
Seriously. This is a thing.
