Hawks vs. Nets final score: Atlanta uses big 4th quarter to defeat Brooklyn, 105-93

Al Horford and Josh Smith combined for 43 points and the Hawks outscored the Nets 34-20 in the fourth quarter to grab a big road victory. Atlanta is now alone in fifth in the Eastern Conference, just one game behind Brooklyn for fourth.

Al Horford and Josh Smith dominated down low to help the Atlanta Hawks grab an impressive 105-93 victory on the road over the Brooklyn Nets. Horford scored a game-high 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while Smith poured in 21 points.

The Hawks trailed by two heading into the fourth quarter, but opened the quarter on a 13-4 run to create some breathing room. The Nets would get back to within four at one point, but they would not get it any closer. Atlanta outscored Brooklyn 34-20 in the final frame.

Besides Horford and Smith, both Jeff Teague and Dahntay Jones made key plays down the stretch. Teague had eight points in the fourth quarter and finished the game with 11 points and 15 assists. Jones had seven points in the fourth and 13 overall on 6-of-7 shooting.

Deron Williams and Joe Johnson led the Nets with 18 points apiece. Reggie Evans had a big game, scoring a season-high 14 points and pulling down 22 rebounds.

With the victory, Atlanta grabbed sole possession of the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference, one game behind Brooklyn for the fourth seed.
