The Miami Heat have been trying to add another big to the roster since trading Dexter Pittman to the Memphis Grizzlies for a trade exception, and they may be looking to bring in a familiar face. The Heat are strongly considering signing 40-year-old Juwan Howard, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Heat are considering bringing back 40-year-old big man Juwan Howard, who spent the last two seasons in Miami.

Howard spent his last two seasons in Miami, where he played sparingly. He went unsigned after winning his first ring last year, and he has spent all this year working out to stay in shape in case some team came calling.
While Howard did not see many minutes the last two seasons, he did embrace the role of locker room leader and was well respected by pretty much everybody in the organization. In last year's playoffs, he stood up to Indiana Pacers guard Lance Stephenson when Stephenson made a choke sign at LeBron James.
Howard averaged 1.5 points and 1.7 rebounds in 28 games last year and saw brief action in a handful of playoff games. Over the course of his 18-year career, Howard has averaged 13.4 points and 6.2 rebounds.
