Without Tony Parker, the San Antonio Spurs could face the end of a historic home winning streak against the Golden State Warriors.

Tony Parker remains out for the Spurs, and on Wednesday night, the Warriors visit San Antonio looking to end their road woes there. Despite history, they may have a very good shot at doing so.
San Antonio has won five of its seven games without their All-Star point guard, but considering the Spurs face All-Star snub Stephen Curry and Spurs-killer Jarrett Jack, there is a belief that Golden State finally has the chops to pull off a win.
After all, the two loses since Parker injured his ankle came against two young and rising point guards. Rookie Damian Lillard led the Portland Trail Blazers to a resounding 136-106 victory in San Antonio on March 8 with 35 points and nine assists. Four days later, the Spurs fell in Minnesota as second-year Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio torched them for 21 points and 12 assists.
Curry could like his chances knowing about those performances.
The Spurs' defense has been an issue of late as well. And Golden's State hasn't had so much trouble on that end of the floor. The Warriors have won four of five games, and even including a 113-95 loss to the Chicago Bulls, they are giving up only 84.6 points per game during that span.
What to watch
San Antonio has defended the Warriors' young scorers quite well in two previous matchups this season. Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green and company have held Klay Thompson to 12-of-34 shooting from the floor, and San Antonio also held rookie swingman Harrison Barnes to 2-of-13 shooting in those contests.
Indeed, Jack and Curry have the potential to make up for that -- Jack scored 30 to go with 10 assists in a 107-101 Warriors victory in Golden State this year -- but any wriggling away from the Spurs’ tough defense on the wings could give the Warriors an added boost to perhaps end the 28-game road losing skid in San Antonio.
