Former NBA player and current CSN Chicago analyst Kendall Gill has been suspended for the rest of the year after an altercation that ended with Gill punching Big Ten basketball analyst Tim Doyle earlier this week, according to CBS Chicago.

The former NBA player was suspended after punching a fellow network analyst following a disagreement over a controversial play during Monday night’s Bulls game.

Gill was suspended for the rest of the year just days after initially being suspended indefinitely for punching Doyle during an argument. Gill took exception to Doyle's criticism of his analysis of a controversial play that resulted in a Bulls loss. After the taping for "Sports Talk Live" finished, Gill and Doyle exchanged words in the CSN Chicago newsroom, which led to the two shoving each other, and eventually to Gill punching Doyle.
Gill, a former member of the Bulls, is a trained boxer who fought in a professional bout in 2005. He retired in 2005 after a 15-year career in which he played with seven different teams, including the Bulls in 2003-2004.
