The Orlando Magic have announced that shooting guard Arron Afflalo will miss the remainder of the season with a strained right hamstring.
Arron Afflalo injury: Magic guard out for season with strained hamstring
Magic shooting guard Arron Afflalo will sit out the last 12 games of the season with a strained hamstring he suffered on Friday night against the Thunder.

Afflalo injured the hamstring in the second quarter of the Magic's 97-89 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night. The shooting guard had gotten off to a strong start, scoring six points on 3-of-6 shooting in 13 minutes.
Afflalo was a bit up-and-down in his first season in Orlando as he struggled with his three-point shot after four straight excellent seasons behind the arc. However, he still managed to set a career-high scoring mark at 16.6 points per game.
Orlando is probably making the right move with Afflalo, who will be treated with "rest and therapy." The Magic have just 12 games left and are currently in a race with the Charlotte Bobcats for the worst record in the league. Rather than push Afflalo to come back this season, it's smarter to have him sit and perhaps have a better chance at grabbing that worst record.
