Days after Royce White reportedly left the Rio Grande Valley Vipers to train in Houston, but not with the Rockets, the rookie forward will return to his D-League team and could play as early as Tuesday, Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Monday.
Royce White returning to D-League after leaving without Rockets’ permission
Houston Rockets draft pick Royce White will return to the D-League’s Rio Grande Valley Vipers after leaving earlier this week without permission.

White’s future was up in the air when he tweeted that he was leaving the D-League to train in Houston. The Houston Chronicle reported last Thursday that White was not told my Rockets management to leave his D-League squad despite White tweeting that a “team physician” advised him to head back to Houston.
Yet to play in an NBA game, White was sent to Rio Grande earlier in the season but was suspended Jan. 6 for failing to report. The suspension was lifted 20 days later, and he has played in 12 games for the Valley Vipers. White is averaging 9.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
The 16th overall pick in the 2012 draft, White suffers from an anxiety disorder that dropped his draft stock and has kept him from playing for Houston this season.
