Dwight Howard wasn't too pleased following an elbow from David Lee on Monday that earned him three stitches and a bloody lip. After the Western Conference battle between Howard's Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors, Howard told Yahoo! Sports' Marc J. Spears that Lee should be careful next time the Warriors forward faces him:

Los Angeles Lakers big man Dwight Howard wasn’t too pleased with an elbow from Golden State Warriors forward David Lee on Monday night.

“He got away with a shot,” Howard said. “I will remember this game. I will remember that shot. He said he wasn’t trying to do it. You can look at the play and see it for yourself. I will take care of it later.”

Warriors dominate Lakers. In the first half of the game, Lee attacked the basket and led his drive to the hoop with his elbow to fend off a potential Howard block. But in the process, Lee connected with Howard’s face and the Lakers center was called for a personal foul. He was then assessed a technical for some choice words pointed at Lee.
Lee said after the game that he meant to avoid the blocked shot and that the hit was unintentional. He told the Contra Costa Times’ Marcus Thompson that he was surprised about Howard’s post-game comments, especially because Lee said he told Howard he didn’t mean to hurt him.
Howard told Spears that he didn’t retaliate during the second half of the game because he already had a technical foul and didn’t want to be ejected.
